IntroductionWelcome to the official website for the Camas/Washougal Soccer Club. The club is a non-profit organization which exists to promote the sport of youth soccer in a fun and friendly environment. The club is governed by the Easy County Youth Soccer Association, which is part of the Washington State Youth Soccer Association. Your child can begin playing soccer with CWSC at age 4 (in 2008). Other soccer programs exist in the community for young children through Camas, or Vancouver Parks and Recreation, and also at Clark County Indoor Sports Center. CWSC age groups are designated as U5 through U18 ("U" meaning under) the age specified until August 1st of each year. Exceptions are sometimes made for children with fringe birthdays to play with their current school class. The season begins with practice sessions in August (scheduled by the coach), with games beginning in September, typically following Labor Day. Younger ages play 8 weekly games in a season, older teams will play 10. There are also many pre-season, in-season, and post-season tournaments in southwest Washington and Oregon in which to participate. See the tournaments page for more information. You can help the club by volunteering as a Coach, Assistant Coach, Board Member, Referee, or even a Team Parent. You will have an opportunity to express your interest at registration, or you can contact the club secretary. More information is available throughout this website. Please take the time to explore the resources here, and feel free to contact the appropriate representative if you have questions. |
