CWSC First Annual Holiday Challenge Series

The Camas/Washougal Soccer Club is pleased to announce our first
annual Holiday Challenge Series designed to give local Select and
Premier teams a chance to refine skills and fold in new players
prior to the State Cup Tournaments in January. Clark County has over 100
Select and Premier teams so we have a healthy core of teams to provide
decent competition. The Camas/Washougal Soccer Club is fortunate to have
three artificial turf soccer fields within our boundaries that we will
use as the base for hosting a series of scrimmage matches and help teams
prepare for State Cup play. The cost is $250 and your team would be
guaranteed 3 matches spread over the first three weekends in December.
The Registration Deadline is November 20th. Most games will be on an
artificial turf surface, but 1 match might be on a grass field depending
on the number of teams who participate. However, all U11 matches will be
held on grass fields, due to the need for a smaller field size. Except
for the U11 age group, Premier teams will generally be scheduled to play
1 year older Select teams.
Challenge Details
Match Duration: 35 minute halves, 10 minute half and 10 minutes
between games
Possible Start Times: 9, 10:30, 12, 1:30, 3 (Plus 4:30 and 6 for Doc
Harris and Fishback stadiums that have lights)
Possible Match Days: Saturday and Sunday (One weekend may be a double
header that includes a game on Saturday and one on Sunday)
Possible Match Dates: Dec 2 and 3, Dec 9 and 10, Dec 16 and 17
Fee Collection: $250 must be provided on site before your first match is
played. Checks can be made out to the CWSC.
Awards: No trophies or awards will be issued
Roster: State Cup rosters will be used
Referee Coverage: The CWSC will provide a paid center referee and each
team must provide a volunteer line/assistant referee
Red Cards: A player who receives a Red Card will not be allowed to play
in any more matches during this event
Registration Deadline: November 20th
Schedules Released: November 25th
Net proceeds will go towards installing lights on the Cardon Turf
field at the Camas High School.
